Note that it is likely to have not any spins or loops. It has been designed in order to allow the ships pass underneath. The question is raised to ask that why it is steep inclines?.

The bridge is so steep because it needs abrupt inclines from the banks of Lake Nakaumi which have to be necessary. Accordingly, the drivers descending into Matsue or Sakaiminato from the two cities connected with the bridge are considered as panoramic views of the destinations. It needs all the stronger, the rollercoaster-like effect, while the bridge has been photographed from the front of telephoto lens including the climb gets even more abrupt. In fact, the inclines on each side are just only 6.1% and 5.1%. Note that Eshima Ohashi has been recognized to be as the largest rigid-frame bridge in Japan and the third-largest in the world.
